Also, I’m inexcusably proud of the fact that someone googled “tall suave,” saw “Notes on Central Africa” and clicked their way to my site. Because that was a post that I quite nearly self-censored, and the irony of someone looking for the tall and the suave and finding me, and that, is just too much fun. Whoever you are, mystery person, you’ve made my day.
And to all those who keep finding their way here by googling “kinyarwanda lessons” or “bujumbura pronunciation” or any variation on learning and using the lingua franca here, I think we should become friends. Conversation partners?
Finally, to those two Econ 101 students desperate to find out “what is meant by the law of supply,” I’m sorry I’ve failed you. But you didn’t want to ask me anyway.
